How do you feel about MLP gen 5?

A few days ago, Hasbro put out a short animation leak about MLP gen 5 on YouTube. The new gen is supposed to start out with a movie in September 2021 and then a show in 2022 or later. The new characters are Sunny Starscout, Hitch Trailblazer,( The first male character of the main cast) and Izzy Moonbow. Not sure what to really think about it. I've grown up with gen 4 and the Mane 6 all my life. Those were the characters that got me interested in mlp in the first place. It is really awful to say goodbye to the characters we got to know and love. 😭 The animation is WAYYYY different and there is only 3 main characters! Including a boy! I've heard Sunny is going to be the "Twilight" of this gen. What do you think? Let me know and share your thoughts. 😄 😄 😄@Cassie989 |

i think it’s gonna be hard for me grasp bc like the main 6. i grew up with mlp so idk and one of the mains a boy?? it’s gonna be weird bc the only boys we got were spike, aj’s cousin (?), and twilights brother i cant remember his name lmao

@Kailey I know!!! I'm not really sure I like the animation that much. They don't even look a little like gen 4! It looks A LOT like Pixar animation. Not that it is a bad thing, but It just doesn't suit it well. I've grown up with the classic cartoon animation of mlp. Hasbro is taking a BIG jump this generation. It looks a lot like the animation of the new Raya and the Last Dragon movie coming out soon! What do you think?

Omg I just watched the trailer I really don’t like the animation! You’re right it does look like Pixar animation which isn’t bad but I just don’t think it fits my little pony well 😬 and they’ve had the main 6 for so long it’s gonna be so weird for the characters to be different!!

@Elise64 I know! Izzy Moonbow looks kinda cool but the boy character looks creepy and weird. The mane 6 have been characters for mlp a very long time and they were the ones that made mlp popular by even adult viewers. I've heard that Twilight wouldn't be returning for gen 5 but that was stated by Tara Strong. I was thinking: "Well, maybe Twilight would just be voiced by another actress or would be gone because she was now queen of Equestria and had other things to do, but maybe the mane 5 would return at least." NOPE! The mane 6 won't be returning to gen 5. I'm really sad to see these beloved characters go. At least they will still be doing the Equestria Girls and Pony Life shorts still. 😄 No matter what, gen 4 will still be my favorite! What do you think?

Ya gen 4 will always be my favorite I watched it so much when I was little! It would be cool if in one episode the main 6 would meet the new main characters but they would look like the ones in the new generation! I think I stopped watching mlp at season 6 or 7, one day I was watching it while I was doing homework and I decided I didn’t like it anymore 😂 but I’m going to rewatch all of the newer seasons if I end up liking it again!

I never liked mlp when i was growing up, but my sister started watching it when i was about 11, and I’ve loved it ever since... srsly im attached and how could they get rid of the mane 6? Its a sin... like how could they...
