I have friends with situations like this, honestly the best thing to do, according to them, is honestly to just confront her. tell her it's not fair and you need some privacy. I hop ethic helps somehow, other than that im not sure sry, I hope everything works out!

I have this situation too, and I appreciate it at some times, I had an argument with my ex BFF over text, and I didn’t want to say anything about it, but when my parents saw the text they talked to me and helped me, also your parents are doing it because they care about you.

While I agree with @knotnormal I totally feel the same way, I had depression last year and my thoughts were...... bad. And I felt really uncomfortable because my parents had access to everything I was dumping out. I felt alone and I didn’t need an extra opinion. Just go up to your mom and say “Hey, can we talk?” And if she comes up with an excuse, tell her she needs to listen, then say KINDLY, but firmly how you feel like your privacy is being invaded. Just tell her that you are a teen and you need your space for certain things, offer to her that she can go through photos still but you can have texts to yourself. Offer a compromise. And be firm, she won’t listen otherwise
