Lemme go first, if a girl is wearing a crop top, she isn’t a gross person who’s trying to get attention by showing skin, she’s just wearing what makes her feel confident and it’s showing she’s proud of her body, thick or thin short or tall yk?

Being homeschooled people think we aren’t learning enough, but like.... we learn a lot. And I wish it was normal cause it’s odd when people say “So, what school do you go to?” And I say “Oh, I’m homeschooled.” And then they like give me dirty looks are stuff because I’m homeschooled. So I wish that was normal

menstruation. it’s getting more normalized but a few months ago my mom was super weirded out that I had talked about my period with my boyfriend. he has no problem with that whatsoever, it’s normal and he totally agrees that it is. I’m thankful for people who are more outspoken about it, and for the people who are genuinely trying to accept it as something that can be talked about, and I hope it continues to be normalized

All of the above.Girls to have short hair, I live in a area it’s weird for a girl to have hair shorter then their chin. Opposite genders talking to each other as friends. People seem to think that’s weird unless you end up dating. |

yes, having opposite gender friends.I don't have a lot of friends, but the ones I do have are mostly guys. They are nice and funny. No, I don't like them or have a crush on them. Like the number of times I've gotten those questions. 🙁 |

idk if this is something to be normalized but i guess it is. i wish everyone would get off their phones and go outside and hang out and do whatever. like get off tiktok (no offense but i mean everyone is obsessed with it) and all social media and pretend like we don’t have technology like our parents did when they were kids 😢

Also, talking about mental health. People first avoided it to “save lives” but it has had the opposite affect.

@llama1013 I agree, I know I said on that other post that I’m absolutely terrified of getting my period 😂 but I still think it should be normalized, like on some of the tampon patterns people say that it’s inappropriate and parents wouldn’t want their kids learning about it but you can get them when you’re young so it’s better for them to learn about it earlier. I saw on one comment that their friend got it when they were 8 and they both thought they were dying 😢

One thing i wish that was unnormalized is being on your phone while you are hanging out with a friend. I had a friend that when we had a sleepover she was on her phone all the time and would barely talk to me :c

@Annie_Whe I agree. Phones are a serious issue with guests.

oh i have A LOT- body hair for girls - feminist boys and not being called GaY - feminism in general - menstruation - being whatever sexuality and gender you like without being discriminated - wearing what you want without getting catcalled or sexually harassed - bodies - boys learning to control themselves instead of girls having to follow dresscodes - boys in skirts and dresses - clothes not having genders - girls being able to talk ab what they like to do without being made fun of and a lot more probably |

@GenMalucci I totally get it! this was my first year not homeschooling and I'm still home bc of covid actually but anyway i've found that sometimes homeschooling makes people think that i'm like a child genius or something. one of my good friends now asked me when we first met if I was really really smart bc i'm homeschooled and yes when I tell people i was homeschooled, they try to hide the judgement but they obviously think its weird 🙁 not everybody though a lot of people are very cool about it 👍

@swim_girl Yes! I am completely homeschooled so I don’t actually have a school that I do online for or anything, my mom has been teaching me since first grade and I’m so grateful cause I’m pretty sure I’m a pain in the rear with all my questions and theories 😂

Having hearing aids at a young age. I am 12 and I have 80% of hearing loss on each ear and people give me looks when they see my hearing aids. One person said, "those are for old people" and that made me really upset. I know that a lot of people don't wear them, but I wish people would stop staring at them like its a spider crawling out of my ear or something.

I think periods need to be normalized, everyone gets all flipped out about it, but it is very normal!
