So there are things you can do BEFORE you starts your "." and some of those are1. drink an excessive amount of water 2. DO NOT EAT SPICY FOOD (DO NOT) 3. get your cardio up (it'll release endorphins that will block out pain receptors from *down there* (plus it'll just make you feel better in general) 4. sometimes a heating pad on your lower back or stomach hurts, 5. just suffer ps. i hate when people are like "it's only once a month" like... sir... its 1 WEEK a MONTH. *smh* 😤 |

I think I'm getting my next period soon ugh. What I normally do is take motrin and use a heating pad. I also try to get some light exercise like going for a walk when my cramps aren't too bad and that sorta helps i guess. 🙂

When I get cramps I recommend doing the following:-fly around -practice some magic -call another fairy friend -go into your imaginary world by then you should be way better! To be more serious: -don't do your homework -go to your neighbors and give them some cheese, IT HAS TO BE CHEESE -treat yourself with some cheese To be extra serious: -lay down I don't think this one will help much, but the others for sure will! (don't forget the cheese one, or else 3 times a month) |

if you don’t have a heating pad, I definitely recommend getting one. putting it either on your lower tummy or lower back (depending on preference and/or where it hurts most for you) REALLY helps with the pain. although I don’t know all the science behind it, I do know the heat naturally eases your muscles and helps with cramps. if you don’t have a heating pad, something like a hot water bottle, rice bag (as someone mentioned) or maybe even a rag soaked in warm water might help. for me, pain meds have never really worked, so I don’t have much to recommend in that. there are also some types of pain medicine specially designed for menstrual cramps. if you’re allowed to, that might be worth trying. otherwise, my suggestions are pretty much the same as what every has said: avoid salty foods (which I’ve heard make you feel even more bloated), drink plenty of water, exercise or take a walk (moving and exercising also helps ease your muscles, I find I feel a lot better when I at least take a short walk or be active in some way), and most importantly, make time for yourself. read, listen to music, draw, eat chocolate and/or ice cream (or chocolate ice cream?), just do whatever you want and remember to pamper yourself, especially if your schedule is busy (:

@jack_kid @Andyish We aren’t saying guys have it easy. This is a section for those who do get periods to discuss how to handle pain because for some of us it’s crazy bad. Some people choose to go on birth control just to handle the pain. So please don’t tell us it’s not that bad when it is really bad. @Elise64 not saying this guarantees it will be bad for you, you might be one of nature’s favorites and not get any cramps |
