Hey! So.... I have some questions. I want to start being healthier all around. Not that I’m not but being overweight runs in my fam and I want to stay skinny. (Nothing against overweight people your all beautiful! Just not what I want for myself. No judgement!) anyway.... any workout suggestions as I’m not in any sports or a pe class..... also I want to flow up so any skin care routines? Good food to eat? Also I need to start changing up my hair I usually wear it in a tight ponytail...... so that’s not good what would look nice on me? Not asking for complements I just want to know what I should do. If this is important I’m really short and not overweight I’m kinda skinny. Anyway thanks in advance for any advice! Oh and if it helps we have a weight lifting thing that you can use leg and arm stuff on.

Limit your added sugars, like 25 grams is what I do.For the hair I like to do twists on the side, then leave the back stuff untouched if that makes sense. For flexibility Anna something has YouTube videos and other people probably do to. That’s all I got |

On the workout stuff... there’s a YouTube channel called bowflex that does really great short little workouts. I usually do their short workouts after going for a run, but if you want you can skip the run and just do a workout. Most of them are 3-7 minutes long. If you do decide to do their stuff, make sure that you do what you can, cos srsly it hurts when you do it wrong 🙃🤦🏼♀️

Anna Mcnulty has monthly challenges in which you do a full body stretch everyday. I did it in January and I can tell a difference. Plus, it takes like 15 minutes and the stretching routines are early. The videos I used are called "5 min worm up routine for stretching and workouts" and "how to get flexible fast / stretch challenge"

Like what other people are saying, Anna McNulty has really great stretching videos that will help with your flexibility. As for workouts, it honestly depends how challenging you want them to be. I do Chloe Ting and Pamela Reif but those are kinda hard and I’m usually sore after. The one thing that I really prefer though is to pick some of my favorite exercises from those workout videos and make my own workout routine.

Honestly I find measuring my calories and everything so exhausting. Just eat when you are hungry and drink water when you are bored. To help with skin care you want to drink drink drink water. I personally don't mess with my face and i just drink water and it clears everything right up. With flexibility, Just start stretching. I find watching stretching videos boring, You can watch them a couple times and start getting into the habit of stretching when you are making a friendship bracelet or maybe watching TV or something. Along with physical health, you have to be in a good mindset. Just remember that you want to be healthy... and that doesn't always mean healthy=skinny I'm not a 'skinny" person, but I'm fit. I mean. Everyone has a different opinion of what skinny and healthy is, but you shouldn't immediately change your habits or lifestyle, do it gradually, and DRINK WATER |

If you want to stay fit try doing Pilates it makes you flexible and fit, also do not diet unless a doctor says so, instead just eat healthy food. And having unhealthy foods is fine if you have it once in a while.

You don’t have to go full diet to be healthy just stop eating a lot of sugars, unhealthy fats, and a big amount of carbs, just remember that everything is good in moderation check the serving size and stay true to it and you will be healthier diet wise, exercise is important but that doesn’t always mean hard core workouts, it could mean riding you bike around the neighborhood or dancing and etc, affirmations are always good while you’re trying to self improve (I am healthy, I am fit) stay away from I want/need affirmations and @kmmorell I completely agree with changing your habits slowly ✨😁

exactly what @Xxpuffish said. You don't need to do hardcore workouts where you are running like 5 miles and then doing a whole strength training, because... there's not really a point in your circumstances... unless you like that sort of thing and do it for fun. Working out could just be excersice, simple as riding your bike, walking your dog, doing some light weight lifting, etc. It shouldn't be a chore for you to do. Truly... everyone is on a diet. If you search up the def. of a diet is says "the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats." like... so everyone is on a diet. Anyways. You don't need to go on a diet, just be aware of what you consume. It should be in reasonable quantities and you should take into account if you exercised today you probably need to eat a little bit more. You should always eat atleast 2 good meals a day. I know i don't eat breakfast just because nothing settles well... probably tmi, but still. I wrote in a forum a while ago about this and healthy exercising and other things, so if you have more questions feel free to PM me. |

Don't be like "I can't eat sugar" like... that's an unrealistic goal. When you are trying to get/remain healthy, you need to set REALISTIC goals otherwise they won't be attainable.A goal could be "I'm going to go on a walk today" or "drink 5 glasses of water today" |

I know your Christian, so you might know about Lent, it’s where you give up things and stuff. This year I am giving up a lot of different foods but at the end of the day, I feel a lot better and over the next 40 days I’m guessing I will be healthier. I totally get your goals, one thing is to wake up early, stretch and drink a full glass of water. That will get you going in the morning and you will be hydrated, which is vital. Another thing to do is maybe go for a run around the block, time yourself so you feel more motivated. And day by day cut out certain fatty foods! I’m cutting out things and exercising every day to get more in shape!

I don't know your age but i think it's important to remember that until you hit puberty and a few years after that it's completely normal to loose/gain some weight, so try not to stress on it too much, and just go for a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, the rest is going to come by itself

Uh well, for skincare i used to have really bad bumpy skin, then my mom gave me some of her prescription stuff and i dont have any marks. Literally none. So maybe see a dermatologist or go on amazon for good products, usually you can find cheap ones that still help ur skin. Also to lose weight do not starve yourself, but dont overeat. I'm one of those people who eats when they're bored, so do not eat just cuz ur bored. Also i know a lot of girls who try to lose weight by dieting, but the most important thing to remember is that you want ur body to be fit and strong, not thin and weak. There are ab workouts you can do 3-4 times a week and in a few weeks you'll definitely feel and look stronger. (I am no professional, but i am an athlete and work out, so i can prove working out does make you fit)

i’m trying to get healthy and skinny too (although you said you’re already skinny) but i’ll tell you what i’m doing. i’ve started intermittent fasting which is basically you don’t eat anything from 8 pm to 12 pm. this is really easy for me because i don’t normally eat breakfast but i do snack in the mornings so through intermittent fasting i stop the snacking. i don’t know the exact science behind it, but i know it helps you lose a little weight, which is what i’m trying to do.
