Should I...? 🤔

Okay, call me crazy, but I'm seriously considering starting pattern #77005. I'm pretty confident in my normal pattern skills, so I want to try it. It's really a beautiful pattern (thank you @Tikilishi,) but the SHEER SIZE of it is... daunting. At the same time, though, I don't want it to sink into the pile of my to-dos, forgotten. 😢It looks segment-knottable, but it's nearly twice as thick as the previous largest normal I've made (34 strings.) Should I try it? should I wait...? |

I mean it’s pretty large, but when you compare it to a alpha that’s like two them minus it being segment knottable so its up to youIf you do I really want to see the pic |

I say go for it but before you do it I would probably do a little bit easier pattern just to kinda ease into it I guess! If you do definitely post a picture and tag me so I can see 😂

I think that if this is your first try at making a really thick bracelet, it might be a good design to try. The pattern itself is 20 rows long and then it repeats. Compare that to something like #33482 where the pattern is over 60 rows long before it repeats. I agree that it’s big and daunting, but I think once you get past the hurdle of making it start cleanly and getting some rows done that it’ll get easier.

This is so cool! 😄 I will be so excited if you or anybody else makes #77005 ☺I think everybody here already gave really great advice 😊 maybe I could add one more tidbit: Choosing a fixed length of time, or a predetermined amount of rows to work on each day, could help prevent it from becoming daunting 🙂 By setting a daily limit, and stopping before getting too tired, in this way, that set window of time could become something to look forward to each day instead of something to eventually dread 😄 if you're worried about that happening 🙂 |
