okay so ive never been homeschooled but I am good at studying and I've been at a private school my whole life so here you go:

SCHOOL
-Uniforms are pretty great but they can be kinda boring so I suggest adding some accessories to your hair ( if your school allows that)
_BE YOURSELF. At my private school, I've been smushed together with the same 20 something kids and getting a new student is rare. so be kind to the people in your class and be yourself because it will help you make friends (ik it sounds super cliche but it works)
-THE PEOPLE THAT JUDGE YOU ARE JUST JEALOUS ABOUT YOU
-literally, just be kind. it works and makes a good impression on the people around u
-the popular kids are not all they add up to be
-make friends with people who will actually care for you and not the people who are going to be super toxic

STUDY TIPS
-Put your phone as far away from you as possible because it will distract you
-write your notes as cleanly as possible because it will make you feel good and prepared and will actually help you study
-COLORCODE ik this ist for for everyone but I find it to be satisfying and helpful for late night studies
-take breaks because you are a human being that needs to rest
-have good lighting at your desk/table. it will help your eyesight and will stop you from falling asleep
-DO NOT DOING ANY HOMEWORK ON YOUR BED. this will make you not get anything done because your bed is where you sleep and your brain will keep telling you to go to sleep. so I recommend working at a desk or even a dining room table.

i hope these help you and I hope you have fun at your new school ❤️

I haven't really had this happen, but I recommend being nice to everyone and try to make a few friends that are really welcoming, because then they might be able to introduce you to their friends. Remember to be yourself and if you think people are judging you, they probably aren't, it might just be in your head! If you're having a hard time at any point, try to find the good in the situation. You're only in high school once!!

Ok so I have never made the transition from homeschool to public school (I have done public school my whole life) and I have a few tips 🙂 So first if your school has locker I recommend using it if possible. Second I recommend some kind of way to keep track of your homework weather online or in a planner. I have tried a bunch of different ways to keep track of my homework and I have found that my Bullet Journal is what has worked est for me mostly because I love adding things to it and doodling so I don't totally loose it and forget all about it but just find whatever works best for you. Also I noticed that everyone has been saying to make some friends and if you are a total introvert (like me) it may be harder than it sounds so just do your best. And if there are any extracurricular activities I suggest getting involved in one that sparks your interest (but keep in mind the Covid likes cancelling those kind of things) and lastley make sure not to get ehind because it can be super hard to catch up. Also I think by the time I wrote this you should be your first day, if so...how was it??
