Hello. I was wondering if it was normal for people to by thread from thrift stores? Because I got 450+ skeins of DMC at a thrift store and wondered if other people did that.

Yeah I occasionally do however it really depends on the store. I also have used kijiji and online marketplaces to get like cheap but good embroidery thread. I once got a container full of good loops and thread string for $5 it was amazing.

It cost like $8 and it is some of the softest thread that I have ever used!!!!!

Omg yes ! I love buying thread stuff thrift stores I got this whole container of thread all of doc with the numbers attached already winded on bobbins for $3 amazing
