@riley_fxX Queer was traditionally used as a slur against lgbtq+ people, whoever over the years people belonging to the community have chosen to reclaim it. However not everyone feels comfortable using it. Within the lgbtq+ community it has become somewhat of an umbrella term meaning “not straight”. If you’re interested the youtuber Ashton Daniel has a video essay on the whole topic of the word queer. It’s really interesting

I would say it depends on everyones own interpretationit's similar with gay tough, that term used to describe something fun, you can find it in many classic novels actually but i am not super educated and well read on that issue, sorry 🙈 |

@riley_fxX Well some people might use it as a stepping stone while they’re actually figuring out their identity but most people use it as it’s own identity so not really no it’s not for people who don’t know who they are yet. Some people don’t feel the need to label themselves specifically and queer just kind of covers all of it

@earthling In the context of must old novels the word queer was used to describe something odd, unusual or unpleasant which is how it became a slur. They word gay was used to describe something happy or merry. That’s in the context of old English

anyone pansexual....also LGBTQ+ stands for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, transgender, queer and the + stands for the letters and sexalities that arent in the aggravation bc there is too many for example I am pansexual meaning I like any gender does not matter on if they are trans, or female or man. 😇 hope that explained a little in depth of what LGBTQ+ is. 😇

@-Nobody- this is completely understandable but in the end it comes down to you! You know you best, so only you will be able to figure this out. If you’re questioning/ have found yourself attracted to someone of the same gender or multiple genders, then you probably are, but again it’s up to you and how you feel. When it comes down to it, it’s a label and you don’t have to use it if you don’t think it fits you. Also, you can choose whatever label you feel fits best and no one can tell you what you are or aren’t because they don’t know. I’m not sure if any of this is making sense, but I found it helped to do some research on different labels and read a lot of queer novels/watch shows and movies with queer characters in order to better connect with myself. I think it’s hard because society is so grounded in the idea that everyone is straight and cis which is so far from the truth, but because those are the norms, it’s hard for a lot of people to truly find/identify themselves because we aren’t actively taught in school or at home that it’s okay to be something other than what society expects from us. Whatever you decide upon, your journey is worth no less than anyone else’s and who you’re attracted to is something to be celebrated, not looked down upon. You are still you no matter what, and good luck!

@Mary_E I am a Christian and I support lgbtq members as people, but I don’t necessarily believe it is the right thing to do. But as @halokiwi said good Christians should treat each other with love and kindness, love one another is the most important command, so if you discriminate then you are sinning yourself.
