So i have a problem rn on i've come to realize is that most likely have adhd and I would never self diagnose myself but I did do research on credible sites and they all said I have a very high probability of adhd, I just need some advice on how to go to my parents with this without sounding like I'm making anything up, or some advice on how to manage it on my own, or an alternate theory I'm open to any advice! 🙂 😐

When you tell your parents you should probably have the articles you read with you so that way if your parents have any questions they can read the articles.

Hey everyone - I realized I accidentally removed a really useful comment that someone replied to this post. To the user who wrote it - would you mind typing your response again? My finger slipped when I meant to hit the accept button. Sorry! |

@Tikilishi no problem, it happens😊. I was just super confused though cause I thought I wrote something wrong. I’ll I was saying was “Next time you go to your doctor, make sure you tell them about it, and they can tell you if you have it or not and what you need to do. If you’re not going to your doctor soon though, tell your parents why you think you have adhd, and why you’re concerned about it. That way, they can take you seriously. I hope this helps, I don’t have adhd, but this is just what I think you should do.”

i have adhd but i can’t really help with the diagnosis tips since i was diagnosed around age 4, but i agree that next time you see your doctor mention it or mention it to your parents! don’t be discouraged if this is how you feel, good luck! let me know if you need any advice or have any questions!

i dont know if this will help, butmy parents just always knew that i had autism so maybe ask your parents if they think you have it or if they have noticed anything i am diagnosed by the way, self diagnosing is a no-no (spaced out to help dyslexic users read) ❤️ |

Thank you @sadnymph and @rumpleknot I’m glad I have a space to ask for advice where people won’t assume I’m doing it for attention or to be different
