Ok so I know my crush from youth group. I have said before in other forum topics that both of his parents are leaders. (Which makes it super awkward😓) I am friends with his mom on Facebook since she is a leader. She has always been nice to me, even though she figured out I like her son. His whole family is leaving the church after the new year. His mom told me awhile ago that he wants to learn guitar. (I play guitar) So two weeks ago I told her that I could help him learn guitar if he still wanted to. She was going to ask him for me. I still hadn’t heard a thing from his mom about whether he still wanted to learn guitar. So I did something without thinking. I walked up to him and asked him if his mom had asked him anything about the guitar lately. He said that she hadn’t said anything. So I asked him if he still wanted to learn guitar. He said that he didn’t really want to learn an instrument anymore. I said ok then walked away. I didn’t even clarify why I wanted to know if he still wanted to play guitar. I sorta have an excuse though. I was running on 4-5 hours of sleep; because my mom had to go somewhere that was an hour and a half away, and I couldn’t sleep the night before. Should I message his mom and ask for his number so I can clear things up? I’m pretty sure he likes me. Even though we haven’t talked much. Especially since his mom was willing to help me out. |

Wow nice job for being brave lol...I think you should definitely ask for his number...so you have it for this and if one day you have to guts to tell him how you feel you won't have to do it in person 🙂

Is this good enough to send to his mom, since he told me that he didn’t want to learn guitar anymore? Here is the message: So I talked to Jake last night about guitar stuff, and i forgot to tell him that I was willing to send him tutorials if he was still interested in learning guitar. I forgot because it was after youth group was over, and my dad was in the parking lot. It would be great if you could send me his phone number, so I can clarify why I wanted to talk to him about the guitar. |

Yeah that sounds like a good idea! It's subtle enough and you have a good reason to ask for his number

@sama123 that is funny because I didn’t feel brave AT ALL. I thought I was such a coward; because my finger was hovering over the send button for what seemed like 10 minutes. I’m sure you have it in you! I kept on saying the quote from “We Bought A Zoo.” all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.
