I’ve never made one but I want to. The thing is I’m horrible at alphas and it would take me forever. I’m not very motivated when it comes to alphas (I’m still working on my first one I started like 2 months ago 😂)

i love making wallhangings! my biggest one that i made was for #59451 and it was really fun to make. it took about a week to make but i’m really happy with the result 🙂

Crochet thread is really good for it because you normally need a lot of one color for the background on a wall hanging and one skein normally isn’t enough

I have never made one but I'm working on #45542 as my first wall hanging and really I'm not good at alphas so I'm having fun knowing that my wall hanging is doing better than my bracelets. I find crochet thread is best in larger wall hangings so I have the same colour, size and brand when I need lots of one colour. They also take lots of patience which I sort of have but don't have lol.

I do! But I’ve only made 2 and the larger one is like only 30 strings 😂 (but it’s not like they weren’t on wooden dowels and everything) nonetheless they were really fun to make and my 2 favorite things I have every made. U should try one!!!

I love them! I just made my first one, of my baseball pattern for my brother for c-mas🙂tips? ok here goes: if you want it to be big enough to hang on your wall alone and not be out of place, 70+ strings is the way to go. Push up your knots with a ruler or else they get wavy and not uniform. Use sturdy dowels, it would be a shame to use a flimsy one and have it snap later on and for a 41 string pattern, it took me 10 hours and 3 1/2 skeins of string for the base and background strings which for me were they same color. and thats all i got right now.... 🙂 |

Tip- if you don’t have wooden dowels, use a colored pencil. It actually looks pretty cool 😂
