People in my family might have COVID. If anyone know anything about the after affects, or what we can do to survive this virus, please tell me.

How bad has it been? Any symptoms? Honestly it’s different for everyone. I haven’t had it but know quite a few who have and most of them it was just like the flu. I don’t think you should panic. Just stay home and take care of yourself.

i have not had COVID but my friend has. i just recommend washing your hands as often as you can. don't get to close to that family member and try to avoid going in their room. the person with COVID should wear a mask in the house so they are less likely to spread it to everyone else.

@laylo_2006 they symptoms are very mild, like congestion & sore throats. It’s could be a cold or something, but we don’t know yet

Yea, could just be the season. But just be careful. Do like @danielle_3 said and keep hand sanitizer on you. Wear mask. I wouldn’t go out if I didn’t have too. Most people have trouble breathing. Of course if it gets like that I would definitely said go to the doctor.

I have had Covid a few weeks ago and these were my symptoms: headache, dizziness, bodyaches, weakness, fever, and nausea. There may have been more that I'm forgetting. My brother was tested and turned out positive when he found out his friend(who he had been with over the weekends)was positive. My mom, who had been having symptoms before my brother even found out his friend had Covid went to get tested with my brother and turned out negative while my brother was positive. My brother was forced by the health department to stay in his room for 10 days by himself. But before those 10 days were over, my mom was still having symptoms and I started having symptoms as well. The day after I started having symptoms we went to get tested with the 20 min test and turned out positive. So basically my dad and my other brother had been exposed to us for a while and never had it at all(which is very surprising because we have a very small house). By the way, my most excruciating symptom was the headache. My mom, brother, and I have fully recovered and my other brother and my dad have still not had it. If you have any questions just tag me!

Oh yes, I also seemed to have lost the sense of smell??? I can still taste everything but I can't smell at all. So I guess that is an aftereffect. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was one of the first people in my city to catch covid, and since I have a weak immune system, it was pretty bad. But for my aftereffects, I was just really tired for a few days.

@riley_fxX yeah, but the symptoms of Covid are basically the exact same as symptoms for cold. So don't panic too much, it may just be cold or flu. Plus it's cold and flu season right now anyway lol

@amazingme my mom has a weakened immune system as well (she has leukemia), and she was considerably more sick and miserable than my brother and I.

a little over half my family had it, we didnt separate or anything, we just acted normal around eachother and i never even got it even though it is supposedly contagious. i would take zinc if you get symptoms, because studys suggest it stops virus replication. i was taking zinc consistently even though I didn't have the virus and I didnt get it. The people in my family who consistently took zinc are the ones who either didnt get it, or had the shortest run time. pm me if you want the brand of zinc that we bought. the virus was very, very mild. my grandparents got it and they took vitamins, c,d, & zinc and they had it mild. its not really that bad, in my whole GIANT family it wasnt too contagious and it was mild. also wash.your.hands like you mean it and never touch your face unless you just washed your hands.".

https ://www.uchealth.org/today/zinc-could-help-diminish-extent-of-covid-19/ paragraph 13 😍
https ://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20200923/could-zinc-help-fight-covid-19

also I know the mask argument is controversial and I would just make sure to do your research on it. this cdc study said 70% of the study participants wore masks always and got covid, so if your trying to prevent it i am not sure if wearing a mask is the best idea:
https: //www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/pdfs/mm6936a5-H.pdf

anyway i hope this helps you get information that you need, that was my experience! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
have a great day.

*to the mods: one moderator took it down because it didnt have sources, i asked if it was ok if i put sources and they said yes, so im pretty sure it is ok to have up now 🙂

@Godluvsu I think it’s better to wear a mask than not. I mean why risk it. But I follow restrictions, and take precaution. I mean why not, at least it will help stop the spread. I tested negative, because I took precautions, so I’m pretty sure wearing something simple as a mask will help. 🙂

@riley_fxX well if you think it does help, wear it. cuz if it does then at least ur doing something. i am just not sure if it does help if the study i posted above,
https: //www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/pdfs/mm6936a5-H.pdf
says out of covid patients 70% of them wore masks all the time, as well as front-line doctors who say they don't help and various other sources. i like to do a lot of research and compare sources to see what makes most sense. and the reason i would prefer not wear them is because of study's that say they don't help, and then also study's that say they harm such as https ://healthandmoneynews.wordpress.com/2020/10/09/brain-damage-from-masks-cannot-be-reversed/
so i don't think it is necessarily worth the risk if i way it all considering all that and the death rate of corona virus. you are obviously welcome to have your own opinion and take risks just like me. 😍
