im a guy who makes braceltes and does crochet it helps my stress a lot lol and i normally go to amazon but have recently been trying to support local business instead i went into my local craft store and asked where the embroidery floss was and the lady kinda paused and i was like i make bracelts and she looked at me in disbelief i ended up buying quite a lot of string and she asked to see what i made and she was like oh cool so not the worse experience but a bit awkward lol

yes, when I go to Micheals or hobby lobby the old ladies will stare at me and ask why I'm buying so much embroidery floss and when I tell them I make friendship bracelets they look at me weird. But one time a lady in her 50's asked me and so was so amazed that I make friendship bracelets and when I showed her some of my bracelets she said they all looked very pretty and I was talented it made me super happy. Sometimes when I get money I like going to buy new string like DMC and I have around 30 to 70 individual stings and they get all annoyed.

I crochet and make bracelets too! Mostly crochet, I buy SO MUCH yarn, I always drop it on my way to the register. I could stay at Michaels, Joans, and Hobby Lobby for hours if I could. Those are my happy places!

in england we have a store called hobbycraft (essentially hobby lobby but british) and its so quiet and it smells like cinnamon at christmas 🙂
i ran into a girl from school there. so awkwarddddddd
also there is a dmc thingy in my local john lewis in the fabric section, and i was so excited about buying white tread and my poor boyfriend was standing there like 'ruby can we leave, those people are staring'
