Hello! Since i'm pretty sure most of us support pride, I wanted to make new friends and find some people with the same sexualities as me! I'd be happy to be friends with any of y'all!!

@CraftsyCat I don't have anyone close or familiar that knows enough the lgtbq+ definitions to help me, my friends are not homophobic, but they just don't know much about the community, etc. (I hope I am clear, but this is not my first language 🙂)

I use to identify as ace ( I stopped due to the hate we got) But I would gladly answer any questions you guys have on any lgbt label, or anything in general!!
@indaco Aro mean aromantic, as in you have no romantic attraction. You don't look at someone and think "hey, I wanna be romantic with them and take them on a date" You're still capable of doing so!! But if you see no point, or find discomfort with thinking about that sort of stuff, i would definitely look more into the label

@Deer-Teeth I just don't really understand what is considered "romantic" and what "sxxual". Hugs and kisses on the lips without tongues, kinda Disney-style? I find them super lovely and adorable! Kissing with tongues (Idk the English word sorry), basically everything between simple kisses and sxx? For me it's a nope 😦 I am probably grey-romantic ✨ to make things more clear: if a couple can do that in front of their child, I like that. If it wouldn't be ok , then I don't like that

I just don't understand in what category does that stuff fall lol

@Deer-Teeth Noo if you feel that way, then you're still ace! You don't need to stop just because people don't like it!! Stand tall and don't let it get to you. My sexuality is "completely invalid" (surreee) to some people, but that doesn't stop me from waving the flag and feeling proud!

@indaco ohhhhh i see what you mean!!! That seems to fall more in the category of Asexual, since those are more s*xual acts compared to others. If you see it in a disney film, it's most likely romantic (can't think of an example where its not, i mean c'mon, its disney lol)
anything Lovey-dovey is considered romantic (i.e. LOVING kisses, cuddles, etc.) But I do understand where the confusion comes from. if it... uh..... i don't know if i can say this... *r**s*s you, then it probably considered s*xual
Since you like that, I would say you more fit in the ace category, but again, I would do your research!! you can look on websites or media platforms for groups like that and ask questions to people who actually identify as aro or grey, you would probably get a more reliable answer since this is purely based of of what I know from being in the community

@CraftsyCat I just don't like how long it makes the label. I know it's me, and is very nice when I see Ace representation in the community, but I feel like I stick out and its as if i'm trying to be a special snowflake, even when I know I'm not and I know that it is EXTREMELY valid

I support and encourage everyone to be open about who they are and to not be ashamed, It's just when it comes to myself I find it hard :^)

I received a lot of hate for being Pan, then recieved hate for identifying as PanAce, THEN received hate for identifying as Bi. I eventually stopped being in that community (made an account for mlm based content now and exclude anyone who does these sorts of things) and do my own thing. There's so much discourse in the community so I try to stay out of it and keep my sexuality to myself unless it's a situation like this lol

@Deer-Teeth Thank you really much, it helped understanding a lot (sorry for my poor English)! I was already sure I was ace, but now I can also say that I am greyromantic (not aro)! I searched it and it describes me perfectly ✨

@Deer-Teeth I also feel the same about the labels. I used to be the kind of person that writes it on the Instagram bio (I don't have Insta anymore), puts the flag everywhere, etc. But now I label myself only if someone asks me

@riley_fxX no problem ☺️ asexual (=ace) is when you lack of sxxual attraction, while aromantic (=aro) you lack of romantic attraction. Example: while, for example, someone who is homosexual is attracted by the same gender, someone who is ace is not attracted by any gender. Sorry I am not really good with explanations, this is not my first language

@indaco I'm glad you found something that suits you! It's always a nice feeling when you realize who you are, and can find communities for people like you!! I wish you the best of luck with that :^)

I did the exact same thing lol. I was all about being proud of who I was and making art based off of it and being very vocal about who I am, but there's so much discourse going on that I realized it was better to keep it to myself unless in situations like this. It is a part of who I am, but I find it a lot easier to keep it to myself, and avoiding the drama in the community really helps my mental health!!

@riley_fxX You're perfectly fine!! I'm glad you want to know more about the community 🙂 I mentioned it before in previous responses, but an easy way to understand it is:
Aromantic: No romantic attraction. If the relationship and lovey stuff can fit in a disney movie, it's more-so romantic. if you want nothing to do with that, or are repulsed by it, then You're most likely aro
Asexual: No s*xual attraction. If it's lovey relationship stuff that cannot make it into a disney movie, like s*xual stuff, then it's, well, that. If youre repulsed by the idea of doing things like that repulses you, or you just can't see yourself doing it/dont understand why teens these years talk so much about that kind of stuff, then you're likely to be Ace

If you have any more questions please let me know, I can get more in depth in Dm's if you're still confused about this, or anything in regards to the LGBT+ community!
