Hi there. Recently I wanted to talk about stereotyping and how everyone can get stereotyped. So I hope that on this thread we can have a calm, peaceful discussion on how anyone can get stereotyped. As per usual, if you have nothing nice to say, please don't say it all. I don't want anyone to get offended, and if you are offer, please just move on to the next topic.I have been stereotyped for numerous reasons. As a Muslim girl who wears a hijab, you wouldn't believe how ignorant people can be. I'm also Turkish and North African but raised in a mix of South Asian and Western culture. I'm a feminist who wants equal rights for everyone. |

So this isn’t about people lol but I hate PITBULL STEREOTYPES!!! I watched this video called “police take mans dog away just because she’s a pitbull” and it’s insane! As far as I know I feel like chihuahuas are WAY more aggressive than pitbulls. Anyway, so in the vid, this man was going on a vacation, and he was very excited to see his pitbull when he got home. Apparently, there was a note on the door saying, “Sorry, we took your dog because it’s a pitbull” and it literally could have been KILLED if the police had realized it wasn’t nice. After they realized it was nice, the dog literally still has to wear a muzzle and can’t play with other dogs as if it’s just another species. And there’s so many words in my head right now and I just can’t write all of them but it just makes me so angry!! 😡🤯😤😭😢🥺😩🙁😣☹️😫😖😣😡😡😡😡😡😟☹️😖

@Elise64 honestly, people can be so cruel. I had a husky up until last year (she died 😭) and some people were just so mean to her just because she was a big dog. It used to make her so sad when we went to the dog park and she couldn't play with smaller dogs. And honesty chihuahuas are so freaking mean, I agree with you there

@B_Bridgette that's terrible and disgusting. If you want to talk about some more, you can private chat me, since I don't think it's something appropriate for all the community.

@B_ridgette no you didn't hurt anybody's feelings. I'm just not sure if this appropriate for braceletbook and its younger users. But you want to talk about it, you can always send me a message on here.

@Elise64 Bruh. that's facts right there. My family fosters dogs and we had a pitbull stay with us. and he was the most behaved, sweetest thing in the world. He didn't even bark. I wish everyone could have the same experience. Like every dog you have to be cautious, every dog has triggers, but everyone thinks of a doberman or a pitbull when it comes to a "mean dog" You can't stereotype a whole breed just because of 1 dog. Glad people feel the same way 😉

@Elise64 most pitbulls are really nice!! But if they aren’t they can tell other dogs to be like them ;-; my dog got pinned down by one bad one and 2 followers and now she’s scared of all the dogs at the dog park and most human strangers... but even tho some can be bad it’s not fair that they say they all r 😣

So I’m a girl and it makes me furious when people try to be chivalrous to me. Boys at my school are always like “oh let me get the door” or oh “I can get it” and I’m like I am perfectly capable of opening the door and picking up things. And it makes me even more upset when people think that stuff is too heavy for me. First off, I am VERY strong since I am a gymnast, and I work out more than most adults I know. Secondly, only I know my limitations so if I say I can carry something, then it’s fine. But it really always bugs me when people say “ladies first” or try to do stuff for me. I am an independent person and I can do stuff just fine by myself, thank you. It just really makes me angry when people do that. Like, hello! It’s not the 1800s!!!

*And even in the 1800s, women were way more capable of doing things than men gave them credit for.
