Are alphas or normals harder?

I was making an alpha and i just realized that for me they are wayyy harder to make. For some reason i struggle with keeping my knot tension even (even though it's ok when i make normals), causing some parts of the bracelet to pop out more.Unpopular opinion or nah? |

For me when I started my first alpha it was way to hard for me so I gave up on it, but now all I make is alphas and I don't really like making normal patterns.

making alphas is definitely something to get used to. for me, they’re both on the same level of difficulty, depending on the pattern and size of course, but I think alphas take longer than normal patterns

Alphas take longer, but there is only one way to knot which is kinda like weaving, but you literally just go forward and backwards so it kinda just depends, I feel like normals are harder sometimes because they look best when you segment knot them. Sometimes it’s easy but sometimes it’s not

i prefer normals more because alphas are harder since i easily miscount my knots cut too little/many strings, etc

alphas are wayyyy easier to read, but hard to get them perfect. personally, i think normals are harder to read just bc there are multiple ways to do them

I thought alphas were really hard at first so I stuck to regular, but i found out that having to constantly look at the normal patterns took so long and i couldnt watch a show while i was doing it. I prefer alphas cuz you just count the knots and do them then switch!

When I made my first alpha it was horrific and now that I actually know how to make them they are much easier for me and more fun

i agree alphas are harder but all i make now is alphas because i don't really like to make normals anymore. sometimes my alphas have rows that are like curvy tho :/ so that's annoying but my normals always have holes

for me normals are harder to make for some reason the lines in the pattern never come out straight. but also i didnt practice them much for me alphas are way more fun to make 🙂
