I'm not from India, but I am Indian. I just want to talk about the food because it's my favorite part!There are so many delicious Indian dishes! Although I'm not vegetarian, many people in India are. In my opinion, Indian cuisine is the most flavorful! Here are some dishes: -Naan (bread, ofc) -Puri (bread, made of flour and cooked in hot oil) -Chickpea curry (it's so, SO good with puri!) -Dhal (sometimes spelled "dal" or "daal". it's like a lentil soup, often served with white rice. sometimes it's spicy but it doesn't have to be) -Kitchari (similar to dhal, except the rice is actually cooked in) -Curry (there's all kinds of curry! sweet, sour, spicy! there are curries with chicken, lamb, pork, even goat. although, like i said, many are vegetarian. my favorite is pumpkin curry.) There's a lot more, but these are my favorites 😄 |
