On violin mostly classical, but I play fiddle music occasionally. On saxophone jazz, and back when school was normal I played in the concert band and marching band.

@AniHux Cool, my sisters took the violin, and I would say just practice, eventually, you will get used to it

I started piano when I was little but I ended up giving it up as my teacher moved away. I played both the tin whistle and the bodhrán for years which are both traditional Irish instruments, the tin whistle is like a recorder and the bodhrán is a kind of drum that you play with a stick/wand it’s kind of hard to explain. I started learning ukulele in school but I ended up dropping music.

@marvelnerd I know, I was practicing but I'll go to the beach, because my country is really hot. @amwatson I also dropped guittar because my teacher moved to another city. |

@AniHux I would say learn to tune, practice with a metronome, use your entire bow(unless your teacher says otherwise), and practice! Since you already know how to play recorder it will go by faster than you think! When you first learn to play a violin I think it can be harder than some other instruments, because you have to place your bow in the right spot, hold the violin correctly, and learn where to place your fingers on the strings. After you learn the basics, I promise it will sound a lot better 😂. Anyway, good luck and don’t forget to practice!
