hi! i’m a fellow figure skater so here’s my tips! 1.) practice falling OFF ICE. this seems stupid but basically w your skates on practice falling correctly. you’ll want to try and fall sideways onto ur hip. without putting ur hands out. it should help so you fall safely on the ice. then learn how to get up. you’ll want to put ur right knee up (right blade on ice bent knee so ur half up half down) then out both ur hands on ur right thigh and push up! then get on ice and practice these. to start skating try your arms out straight in front of you and march a few feet and then try and glide. next try “pizza slices” but ur heels together rows apart in a V shape. take ur right foot and push off then ur left and repeat keeping ur feet in a v shape. so right foot out then left foot push out from the V hope that makes sense. try going backwards by wiggling ur butt back and forth. go slow.

Im pretty horrible but just practice gliding, stopping, getting up and go slow at first. I am practically the queen of not falling down while ice skating because i make sure of it if i fall I freak out and it makes me feel terrible and then i give up so most of the time i skate pretty slow. My best tip for you though is to just start out slow and speed up when you are most comfortable.
