So my parents are really strict and give me screen time in my phone and stuff and they don’t let me wear crop tops or have social media or anything like that. Any advice? Plz don’t say act better around them because I’ve been doing that already

My parents are kinda strict too, but that's just how they are. I would just respect the way they are parenting you. Sometimes I don't always agree with my parents, but I just try my best to suck it up, even though it's hard. I saw on your profile that you're thirteen and maybe you'll get social media and a computer soon! I'm sixteen and I didn't get a computer until this year (because of school), I only just got a phone two years ago, and I just got an instagram (it's a bracelet account 😜). To be honest, I didn't really care about my parents rules because I wasn't in a rush to get a computer or phone, and I'm glad they made me wait. But my parents don't let me wear crop tops or anything like that and it's super annoying. Anyways, I know that it's definitely frustrating when you and your parents don't see eye to eye, but they're not putting these rules in place to make you upset. Give it some time and as you get older, they should hopefully give you some of these privileges 😊

@_braclet1 My parents are pretty strict as well. I’m 15 and I still don’t have a phone, I’m not allowed to wear crop tops (though I don’t really mind much) and they just allowed me to have Snapchat. Just keep in mind that they aren’t trying to make you upset and that they’re only doing it because they care about you. I’d suggest talking to them about the things that you want and why they won’t let you have those things (Even if you don’t like what they have to say you need to respect it. If they see that you are respecting what they are asking they will most likely be more inclined to giving you more privileges) I’ve found this very helpful for me. Also, let them know that when they do let you have social media you will be responsible with it. Try and help them see eye to eye with you, but don’t be whiny or pushy. Hope this helps. 😊
