Whenever I make a loop for an alpha I use the base string to make it so when I start the alpha at the beginning I have my leading string end sticking out. How do I make a loop with the leading string so I don’t have a little bit stinking out when I’m done? Or like how do I fix this? Thank you!!!

If the number of base strings is uneven you can use one end of the leading string as the last base string and include the leading string in the loop.

I don't really know how to explain this, but you can kind of fold your loop string in half then loop it over where you want your loop and then just start. Sorry if that was confusing.
