fake flowers on cacti

So I just went to Walmart, and they had cacti. I have been looking for one, so I bought one and they all had flowers on them. I didnโt want one with a flower, but I didnโt mind it. When I got home I showed my mom and she told me the flower is fake and glued on, that gave me some hope on removing it, so now I put some alcohol on a cotton ball and letting it sit to try dissolving the hot glue. Does anyone have any tips for removing the fake flowers? I hate how they just glue on flowers tho

Ok! I just got them off, the top is very flat, but I assume the spikes will grow back
