I donno about the culture of these braceletsI read somewhere that you make these while camping. What's the actual history of it? Cuz in my country, nothing of this sort is there |

If you are on the website along the bottom of the page there is a tab which say history and it tells you about the history of bracelets. And when people say "I made them at camp" it's not necessarily camping but a place where kids go in the summer to do activities. I'm not entirely sure how these camps work because they aren't particularly common where I'm from so maybe someone who knows about them can explain 😂.

I go to a summer camp every summer and many of them are sleep away, but there are also lots of day camps and i would say most people get started making bracelets there

I recently went to a camp! It's a weeklong overnight camp, but because of covid we didn't stay the night so it was just a day camp! We wore masks and social distanced and stuff. 😂People make bracelets there! It's sort of their tradition, I guess. Mostly just candystripes, chevrons, Chinese staircases, and simple bracelets like that. I showed up one day with a double aztec bracelet pinned to my backpack and everyone was like, 🤯! I told them about BraceletBook and how to read patterns and such. They werre really happy! |

basically at summer sleepaway camps people will make them for their friends there, usually simple ones like candy stripe, chevron, or chinese staircase, as like a way to remember them because usually you won't see them until the next year at camp.
