Unpopular opinion: I have only read the first book and HATED IT. I just don’t like dystopian in general though. If you think I should carry on with the series tell me! So from what I know from the first book book, Peeta is really odd as one minute he’s obedient and the next he so stubborn. Gale, in the first book is mentioned at the start and seems very protective of his family, and very unfriendly. All opinions are based off the first book only! Honestly, I don’t like either of them. |

@sheepie I think the first book is the best of the 3. I liked the newer one the best. But if you don’t like the first I wouldn’t recommend the rest.

obviously peeta. gale would have been terrible for her and while he technically didn't kill her sister he contributed to that and i feel like katniss wouldn't ever forgive him for that. i still like gale as a character and think he's really interesting though.

@sheepie it's all a matter of opinion, but i really like it. it's pretty overrated but still good imo. if you aren't a fan of dystopias then you might not like the 2nd and 3rd ones very much. i won't give spoilers but mockingjay is what i would describe as agressively dystopian lmao

Gale if I had to chose. Don't think she should have ended up with either though. Didn't really like the last book, especially how everything ended, if felt unsatisfying.

Neither if I'm being quite honest. Gale was like a brother to her and I kinda fell like she was forced to be with Peeta so 🤷♀️

Katniss she was forced into the relationship with Peeta and even if she came to love him I don't think the start of their relationship was natural in any way, and even though Katniss mentions wanting to marry gale in the first book(because he was a good hunting partner) I don;t think they ever would be a good couple. Plus she was just a girl trying to survive in a cut throat society.
