For me, itâs kinda complicated. My brother and I are two years apart (Iâm the younger one) My brother has autism though, so I have a lot more responsibilities than my brother. My parents literally let him get away with EVERYTHING!! One time, he hit me while running up to his room. I told my dad, but all he said was,âheâs autistic he doesnât know any betterâ, and itâs so freaking annoying!!! Or when Iâm hanging out with my friends and he randomly barges in my room even though I told him not to, my parents just say that

Iâve noticed they generally expect more out of me usually. I got really upset one day in 5th grade because they decided to congratulate my sister by going out to a movie or something because she received an A on a test even though I usually do a lot better than her and school and feel like itâs under appreciated. For instance in 5th grade I was part of dukeTip (itâs a program duke college has and you have receive a 95 or higher on the standardized tests to get in). Anyway through that program I ended up taking the PSAT and was in the top 92% of 8th graders yet they gave me a high five and that was it. I was really sad for a while especially because they didnât congratulate me on school for a while probably before 3rd grade. I also could do a lot of basic things like cook, ride my bike, and tie my shoes years before she could (I was basing it off of how I old I was when I learned and how she was when she finally learned).

My older brother is definitely the favorite just because his personality works better with my parents because heâs fairly quiet and Iâm insanely loud. My whole family gets annoyed with me like every day. Also my brother doesnât live with us so he gets a lot more attention when heâs at home which makes sense I guess but itâs annoying. Also he never gets in trouble.

@kayleer_04 that sounds so unfair!! I donât think it really makes sense for parents to look at older kidâs phones but not look at the younger kids that doesnât really make sense lol đ like my mom would never go through my sisterâs text messages theyâre all older than me well maybe but probably not like once she went through some of my text messages and it wasnât that big of a deal but for them to go through them all the time that would be so annoying!! And that same time my mom asked me how she could get into my phone if she ever needed to because she doesnât have a fingerprint but she has my passcode and I told her that she could get a fingerprint if she wanted to. The only thing that kinda annoys me is that I donât have a lot of clothes. My sister gave me a ton of black adidas shorts but I donât have ones that I actually picked out in different colors, and almost all of the shirts I have are from like at least 10 months ago. I just donât really actually like any of my clothes like theyâre fine but I kind of want to get clothes that donât have like prints on them. I have two stranger things shirts that I like. I guess my mom just doesnât understand that Iâm starting to care more about the clothes that Iâm wearing. She also wants me to get dressed every morning and I just donât feel like it because I donât have a lot of clothes I like. Once I told her I wanted to get more shirts and she said that I should just work with what I have which now I realize kinda makes sense because itâs close to the end of the summer.

I'm the middle child and half the time nobody remembers how old I am, much less birthday. Anything I do that isn't considered studying is a waste of time, yet majority of my siblings were/are slackers in school. Most people in my family don't know my name, they'll just greet all my siblings and then look at me like "oh yeah, there's another one, what's her name?"
