bro YES. When I was younger I always felt pushed to the side, and my parents always had me do more chores and have an earlier curfew than any of my brothers. It got better as I got older, especially when I started calling my parents out on the unfair double standards.

My mom pays my brother and sister to study because they both hate studying so they need another incentive, but I don’t get paid because I just study anyways. It makes sense, but I still think it’s unfair that being responsible means I don’t get paid even though they do

I know that my brother is older but it's hard seeing him get everything 3 years before me. Also it's really hard going to bed while my brother is watching TV with my parents. I understand that when your older you get more privileges but it's annoying waiting.

I'm the youngest and sometimes i feel like i'm the """favorite""", but i feel bad saying it because i know they both love my sister just as much.I just think it's because we have very different personalities so in some cases i get along with them better, if it makes sense |

But maybe the parents like us the most but we get treated SO BAD by our older siblings..... he is my only source of misery

No I have 5 other siblings and we are all treated equally although myyoungest sibling aka my only brother will always be the baby but I don’t really think that’s unfair

@watever. The only reason ur older sibling is misery is bc when the younger sibling is born all the attention goes to them and eventually never really comes back to the older sibling so that’s prob why older siblings can be mean🖤

I’m the older of my brother and I and I feel like my parents have higher expectations for me, whereas my brother can kinda do whatever and they’ll be fine with it. I don’t think they favor one of us but I do think they have unfair expectations toward me.

i am the older sibling and im held to higher standards im expected to get straight As and manage activities such as marching band which is a huge time commitment I am given all the chores whereas my sister pretends like she can't do anything and has little to no chores i make a mistake i get yelled at get my phone and electronics taken away and nagged at for the rest of the week I get a single bad grade and there go my electronics. i have no privacy and when i get my phone taken they will often go through dm with my friends from school whereas my sister's devices are rarely searched i have to have both my mom and dads fingerprints in my phone and if i delete them i will no longer have a phone whereas my sister who is going into middle school doesn't have either of their prints. my sister failed all the way to 5th grade and they blame it on her learning disorder which in my opinion isn't as bad as they make it out to be because shes fine without her medicine she just doesn't want to focus on school ( yet she can focus on 3 things going on while on her tablet and talking on the phone ) while i get yelled and told that I'm not trying hard enough or that I'm misbehaving and tbh its effected me as a person I feel I'm not good enough and a bunch of other things its mostly my dad who seems to favor her if i try to bring all thsi up he yells and says its what is expected of me and that she has a learning problem and that's why I get it she has a learning issue but its just behavior as a whole i make a mistake and her making the same mistake gets to completely different levels of punishment ( i get this may be normal as i am older but i think its just annoying and unfair)SORRY TO RANT HAVE A GREAT DAY |

Yes, my twin brother is favored by my dad still. It is disheartening, but I have learned to use my experience and not act like my father.

My sister will hit, kick, bite, and spit on me. My parents won't do anything about it. She is only 2 years younger than me, and she definitely knows better. Though she isn't strong enough to seriously hurt me (lol) She didn't get punished one bit. There are so many stories I can tell. My parents use the excuse "Well I didn't see it", then they do see it and say "I don't want to get involved" Also, my sister's schoolwork has to be constantly monitored. Math homework takes her so long, even if it is just a couple of questions. I can't really get help with my homework. It's not really a rule, more of a "You have to figure it out because I am helping your sister." She also gets the "Well I'm younger". For example, we started skiing at the same exact time. I am much better than her. When she says something like "Your a baby you don't like roller coasters" (I went on one a while ago and I wanted to go on one again this summer, but theme parks are closed) I would say "Well you are scared of going on Blue Squares". She goes "Well I'm younger than you", even though she started the same time as me. She even uses this for grades!!!!!! She will say "Your dumb", which is funny because she has worse grades than me... I bring that up and she's like "But I'm younger". Even though being younger means you are in easier classes... AND MY PARENTS SIDE WITH HER ALL THE TIME EVEN WHEN SHE LIES I have so many more stories. I hate being the oldest |
