Tweaking this pattern to make it segment knotable

So I came across pattern #28539, and I love how it looks. I really want to knot it, but it's a 1212 pattern, which you can't segment knot, and I don't really like making 1212 patterns. Can someone tweak it a bit to make it segment knotable, if the creator of the original pattern allows it? I know there's a tutorial for it, but I'm not the best at creating patterns, so it would be great if someone could do this for me. @halokiwi I know you are really good at designing patterns, it would be great if you could help me out. It’s kinda hard to explain but I start at the right side and do two knots at a time pretty much I’m not sure if there’s a better way tho

It got declined because I put the pattern number and the original creator in the keywords but I removed that now and resubmitted so it should get accepted soon 😄
