I would definitely start off with something that only uses two colors, like #43451 or #42918. (If you don't like these, you can filter patterns and find one you enjoy) Good luck!

#21041 was my first alpha, it turned out great and I Believe if you go on YouTube and search cactus alpha friendship bracelet tutorial, there is a tutorial for the whole pattern. After watching the tutorial reading alpha patterns will come much easier to you!!
