So I found this beautiful pattern #36452, but I'd like to make it so that the 2 stripes intertwine, kind of like the staff carried by Hermes in Greek mythology with the snakes. I'm going for this look #146713, but I still want the holes in the middle. Is it possible? Or is there already a pattern like that? Thx

You can just use #146713 and leave out the knots in the center diamond. If you leave out all the white knots in the diamond in the middle, the rest of the pattern won't be affected.If there are knots between two strings of the same colour, you can always leave that knot out. If there is a bf or fb knot, you can also leave out that knot as well. The only knots that you can't leave out without affecting the rest of the pattern are f and b knots between two strings of different colours. |
