I am struggling with pattern #163397. Could someone make a tutorial or explain how to get the holes to actually look like hearts? None of the advanced normal pattern tips have helped with this one. Thanks!

Looking at this pattern, you probably have to work with loose strings in this one instead of hiding the strings. I think there is too little place to hide them, but to be sure I'd have to try to tie it myself. I'm going to try to do that later. The pattern looks really interesting.

Small update:- I wasn't really able to make the heart-shape, because the tip of the heart just disappears in the bead I put in the center of the hearts. - I put beads on the center two strings to hide them and I did bf knots on the left side and fb knots on the right side of the heart to make it smoother. - I only did the bigger hearts because the smaller ones don't come out as clean for me. I'll post a photo once I'm done. I'll include knotting instructions on that photo. |

Hello!! I figured out the pattern after many frustrating attempts. It doesn’t actually make a heart, but it does make an interesting teardrop shape. I’ll add a photo of the completed bracelet to the pattern when I finish it. It varies slightly from the knotting pattern, just because technically the string in the middle of the small “hearts” shouldn’t be grabbed with the lighter blue string, but that was the cleanest version I could come up with.
