I can make shaped starts and ends but with the hanging strings I get confused on what to do with them, and how to read the pattern to make the chains. Pattern for Oct 2023 monthly challenge is #133033 and it would be great to have a tutorial for it.... thanks for considering! 👍 🎉

When you do the side knots (I honestly can't tell if they're bf or fb, it's just my brain) you clump the loose strings together when you do the knot. Like you knot on all of the loose strings, if that makes sense. Like how you would do a shaped start/end, where you knot on all the strings at one point. It's like that. I'm sorry I'm kind of explaining it weird, but I hope it helped a little!

In this pattern, for the chain part you really just do what the pattern tells you to do. You only make your bf or fb knots onto one other string. The other loose strings you can see are all needed for the small diamond in between, so don't make your bf or fb knots onto them.
