Hi!
The faux leather band of my watch broke. I would love to repair it with a fitting bracelet, but I can't find a good one.
You can see the watch in my profile picture. It is a world map, so I was hoping for something "vintage map-y" looking that is monochrome and has about 16-18 strings in width (because that should fit into the fastening).

I realize that this is very specific, but I thought I'd ask anyway, in case someome has an idea.

Are you looking for a normal or an alpha pattern?

@halokiwi Both are fine! As long as an alpha doesn't have too many colours, it should still be thin enough to fit into the clasp. 🙂

I think normals and alphas with the same amount of strings have different width. That's why I'm asking 🙂

@halokiwi oh dang, I hoped they don't because I only measured with normal bracelets. But you're right, I tried it with an alpha now, and then it's about 15 knots in width.

So anything between 13-16 knots wide should work for alphas and 16-18 for normals.

Not sure if this is quite what you're looking for, but I made #151472 from your description!
If you have something more specific in mind I'd be happy to try designing it too 😊

I have already finished the watch yesterday, I wish I could show you already! I'm just looking for a fitting button to close it, because everything I have here are self-made buttons that I made from excess resin from dice, so they are a little to glittery and colourful for this look. 🙈

Hi @Calyre ,

I just finished my triangle end as normal, but then didn't tie off. Then I used two of the loose strings to sew on the button roughly where the buttoned up band would fit my wrist.
After that, I tied the two strings together on the back of the bracelet, pulled them down to the rest of the strings again and used two different strings to knot them all together in 2 square knots.
But you can also just tie off your bracelet and then sew on the button and just knot the sewing threads together on the back of the bracelet and cut them off. That way, it's easier to change the button if it ever comes loose - but I kind of like the firmer way of using just the bracelet itself.

@IndyHaine : Thank you so much!!! I will try to do that for my 2 watches ^_^ But I need to find 2 patterns before 😄 Approximately how many centimeters in width is your bracelet?
