Can anyone help me understand how to make a chapstick holder keychain? I've looked for tutorials on YouTube and bracelet book and can't find anything. Help! 🙂

I made one and I can describe how I did it 🙂I used pattern #36660 (I've posted a photo there) The pattern has 16 strings. I quadrupled it to have 64 strings. I made four loops and attached one of them to a keyring. I knotted it as a tube by making a knot between the string at the left edge and the string at the right edge in row 2 and all other even rows. When it had reached the desired length, I made a macrame square knot around the loose strings at the end to close it off. |

Thank you halokiwi!!! Sorry for my late reply. 🙈 This makes sense to me, but I haven't had the courage to start yet. How long did you make all the strings? I'm thinking less than a meter, since the holder won't be as long as a bracelet? 🤔 |

I don't know anymore how long I made the strings but I would agree that they don't need to be very long.
