I have no idea how to tie the string at the top of wall hangings, like the string that you can tie to be able to hang your wall hanging. I don't really know how to explain it, but if someone could tell me how that'd be great!

Hi!I don't have the most elegant way to do it, but it works (you can see two wallhangings in my profile under "photos" to see how it'll look). I usually twist some string, like you would do for twisted ties, but instead of twisting both of your strands around each other at the end, you put your finger in the middle of them, press that point flush to the table and fold the strands onto themselves so that they twist around themselves. That was you already have a small opening where your finger was, that you can put one side of the dowel through. The other end of this twisted string, I usually just tie around the other end of the dowel, and then I stick one of these ties through the first loop that is holding the opposite side of the dowel, and tie it behind the wall hanging with the second tie that you didn't stick through. I hope that wasn't too confusing. English isn't my native language and I have a hard time explaining this even in my native tongue... |
