How to create "half face" patterns?

For reference, I mean patterns such as #113824 and #112109I have a draft in my create-a-pattern but there has *got* to be an easier way to make these into patterns, right? 😄 Does anyone who has created patterns such as these have any tips or tricks that you use to make these a bit easier? Going pixel by pixel to get the shading correct or make sure there's a lot of detail like the patterns above is exhausting! Thank you for any help! <3 |

My hints:- use a pixel art app that is made for drawing pixel art. It's often easier to draw there. When you done, download the image so one pixel is one pixel. Use "alpha from image" on that image. - use "alpha from image" on a picture of the character and tweak it as described in these tutorials: https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/120_making-better-outlines-for-alpha-patterns/ https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/74_how-to-tweak-patterns/ - use "draw alpha" and draw the outlines first, then use "fill" to fill in areas of one colour |
