Hey guys!Super newbie here. Really sorry. I found this cool bracelet.... #123674 that has waves in it. I am trying to do it as a gift for my scuba diver friend. What i wanted to do, is to add a scuba diving flag in the middle of the bracelet between the waves, and of course, I have no idea how to generate a pattern like that. The flag is a red rectangle with a diagonal white line in it. Is there any way possible that someone can make that pattern for me? Much much much appreciated! All the best. |

It IS possible to create this kind of bracelet, but it's not possible to create one single pattern for it on BraceletBook. This bracelet would be created by combining a normal pattern with an alpha pattern. Since they're two different types of patterns, that can't really happen in the pattern generator. You would have to take two patterns (the normal wave pattern and an alpha with a diagonal stripe) and combine them. Here's a video showing how it's done (combination starts at 6:06): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq2e1qs9y2wSince you're a beginner, this might not be something that you're comfortable doing yet. The other option for creating a bracelet like that would be to make the entire bracelet into an alpha pattern. Or here are some other options: #37684 (alpha, snorkels, 16 strings) There are A LOT (thousands) of ocean/water/fish themed bracelets if you want to search for those using the keyword search. I'm sure your friend will appreciate whatever you choose to do. |

I made this pattern #127072It is meant as a combination of a normal and an alpha pattern. For the part with the waves you use the normal pattern you mentioned, for the flag part you use the strings of the normal pattern as the base strings and knot onto them using the alpha technique. I think this should be doable for a beginner too because there are only two colours in the alpha part. |
