Would like to get some suggestions on belt pattern using bracelet knots.

Hi, please take a look at this friendship bracelet belt by KnottyJules on Instagram. It is 20 strings and 11.5 inches long. I suppose the strings are attached to the buckle with larksheads knots. The pointed end may have the strings glued into it. https://www.instagram.com/p/CXwEkD1rVMm/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link For your belt, you will need to determine how many strings wide you want it to be. You can measure the width of a current belt you like. Compare that measurement to the width of some bracelets you have made in the past. This will give you an idea of how many strings your pattern needs to be. The length will be based on the person's waist size. You can also just make it the same length as a belt you already like. For the buckle pieces, you can try to find some online for the designated width you need. You can also remove the pieces from an old belt that you do not need anymore. Good luck |

I would definitely recommend that you don’t use embroidery thread for this, but rather a thin-ish yarn so that you can have a just as thick belt with way less string used up, and less knots= less time spent :]
