Hey! Can someone make a video or tutorial on how to make a bookmark start with a hole but with an odd number of strings? Thank you

The following is how I would apply the tutorial by HandMade Lenin to patterns with odd amounts of base strings:You just wouldn't do the hole right in the center but slightly to one side. Similar to when doing a loop with an odd number of strings for an alpha, you can use the other end of the last base string as the leading string. Let's say you need 11 base strings, you would cut 5 strings double the length and attach them to the string on top using larks heads knots for the first 10 base strings and for the 11th you just attach the leading string with a larks head knot so that the other end has the same length as the other base strings. |

@halokiwi So the problem is that I am using the 5 most middle strings for it. I am also using Handmade Lenin’s tutorial, and saw a comment that says it’s not possible to make with an odd number of strings. Is there a way I could do it like this? Thank you!

@apples123 I think you just need to make the hole itself with an even amount of strings and make it slightly off-center.I have tried the technique before, but I'm not experienced enough to know, if the hole itself would be possible with an odd amount of strings. Potentially you could make a hole that is slightly uneven. But I think I'd prefer a hole that is slightly off-center opposed to a hole that's uneven itself. |

I have an idea! Can and or should i use my 3rd and 4th string and make them one? I’d then have 4 strings to work with. Do you think it would work?
