could I get some patterns that would be good for multicolored string? normal or alpha, I have no preference

Hello! When using multicolored string in normals, I would recommend using patterns that have an outline to make the multicolor string stand out more; for example, the lightest purple in #113875. Here are just a few more normals where I think multicolored string could fit well (however, you could totally use it wherever you think it will look good!)#26051 #32900 #88480 For alphas, you could use them in backgrounds of simple, outlined things, such as in #31552. Here are some more alphas where I think multicolored string could go well in! #39260 cats #38128 strawberries #54139 Mickey #63615 Ferret These are all just examples to perhaps help you find patterns that are more your styles.
