25162 but with 4 colors

In her video for 25162 Masha Knots says you can change the number of colors but you have to change the number of background strings to match. Can anyone tell me how to choose which of the group strings to choose? Or a similar pattern with 4 colors? (3 plus the background) I tried doing it as a variation but I can't see how to reduce the number of strings so the one I delete just gets added in at the end.Thanks |

i think you take off one color. so two strings and then four of the black strings. so six strings all together

For 3 colours plus background you need 6 strings of the background colour because you also have 6 strings for the other colours (2 for each). The amount of background strings and the amount of other strings need to be the same.This looks like the right pattern #27665 |
