Bracelet Pattern suggestion for a Miniature Doll House

Hi, I love creating things - small things - and my friend has a doll house and I want to surprise her by making a miniature friendship bracelet. I don't want to make just a candystripe so that's where you come in! I'm looking for a simple enough pattern that I can create. I will be splitting my thread to use 1 (maybe 2) of the 6 threads that make up the string. So it's gonna be tiny 😁. Drop your suggestions below and if I use your pattern suggestion I will give you a permanent shootout in my bio.P.S. I might make more than 1 😊 |

When I saw the title of this post, I thought you could maybe make a carpet. I know, you're asking for bracelet patterns, but I just wanted to bring it up 🙂 for example I have this pattern of the carpet from Aladin #51010

I've done 2 patterns from your list @Rowsitt (#2359 & #76616) and I've put your name in my miniature section of my bio 🥰.I wish I could have done a few from your list @oceanknot but anything less than 6 strings made it really hard. Feel free to throw out a couple more patterns. I will probably make a few more of these. They have been super fun to create 😊 |

Can I ask how you do this? I have a fly tying setup with clips, a magnifying glass, and tweezers. I wonder if that is how you do it? Or do you do it entirely with fingers only?

no problem! Also, just out of curiosity, what kind of string do you use when making them. At first I thought it was embroidery floss, but they ended up so tiny, so I was wondering what you used

@Genki 😅 yeah - fingers only and very carefully. I guess my eyesight is still pretty good 😁.@oceanknot I do use regular embroidery floss. I just pull out one single thread out of the 6. My pieces are barely 12 inches long. I just rummaged through my scrap pile 😊. It's perfect for that. And yes patience is key. Also don't have any hangnails cuz the string will find them all! That's why my one (distorted chevron) is shorter. It snagged and ripped the thread 😩 so I had to finish it. |
