So my mom gave me an old bracelet of hers from like 45 years ago and I cannot for the life of me find a pattern or even a name for it. My mom didn't make it and she doesn't remember who gave it to her so she's in the dark too. I wish I could show a picture, but I'll try to describe it as best as I can. It's round/four-sided, which makes me think it was probably made using a bracelet wheel. To me, it looks like a 4 sided fishtail braid. There aren't any knots, it seems to be just woven, but it's not a kumihimo braid. Each side appears to be a fishtail, but they're all interwoven. It looks like it uses 14 strings in total, with 7 colors overall (2 strings of each color). Each color makes a V shape/backward V shape on the alternating sides. If you have any ideas as to what this pattern might be, please let me know!! Thank you.

If it had no knots, then there probably isn’t a pattern for it on here because all the patterns here are for knotted bracelets. I made one following the tutorial I sent. It really looks like you described I think.

It's similar to a regular fishtail braid:
- you start out like a regular fishtail braid and cross the strings in front, you do this two times
- then you do a reverse fishtail braid and cross the strings in the back instead, you do this two times
- alternate these two steps until you get the desired length

I'm not sure what it is, but if you wanted you could put a picture of the bracelet as your profile picture. That way, others could see it and help identify it!
