How do you make an alpha pattern smaller, with less strings

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this question. If you mean making a pattern like #31797 smaller, you can cut 14 base strings instead of 16 and only make the knots from the second base string to the fifteenth. Or if you mean a pattern like #31543 and just making one of the foxes on it, all you have to do is follow the pattern to make one of the foxes, and then end your bracelet when you've finished. Let me know if you mean something different or if you need me to explain anything better 🙂

Thankyou! I meant like on pattern #45084 which has 16 base strings, I would like to make it a 12 base string but I don't know how to draw it smallerr so that it would look similar
