@kerrs there aren’t any currently out there. I would just say for airports case make a thick bracelet and sew or glue the two ends together then slide it onto your airpods holder.

@havencfree I was actually thinking of how to make an airpod case too. The only way I can think of is to make a fairly thick bracelet. Once its the length of one side of the case fold it and continue knoting, that way it'll mould to the case well. You'd probably have to sew the edges together and maybe cut a hole to charge it. Might also be cute to start with a loop and then new a button onto the front for closure. though I will say I dont know how funtional these will be.... just brainstorming. you might also find inspiration looking at crochet airpod cases! |

@ShruthiMan as I said above I would just bother about covering the surface around the AirPod case. I wouldn’t bother about covering the bottom because it might be hard but again this is just my opinion I’ve never actually seen it been done before.

I'm not sure if this will make sense (or if it'll even work) but I'm going to try and explain what I'm thinking. So in normal alphas, you knot one row and then you knot the next row. What if instead you knotted onto the base strings continuously in a circle? You could wrap one string around the circumference of your airpods case/chapstick and then make larks head knots onto that string with your base strings. I have no clue if this would work or give you the result that you want. I'm actually quite curious now if this could work, and I might try it on my chapstick. I'll tell you if it does!

@2006_Mandy the problem is that AirPod cases are quite slippery. I have one and the number of times it just wants to shoot out my hand 🤦♀️. So if you don’t have it completely covered it will just slide out

@ShruthiMan I feel like you would have to glue it on because making a curved bottom might not work.

I would do that with the technique used in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GphKuRQZ6wcIt is a normal pattern, but I think it should also work with alpha pattern by connecting the two sides similarly and then going around. The soil could be a little more difficult. Maybe you can sew some fabric there. But I don't know whether that works. It's just an idea 😄 |

@bluedog123 , it should end up looking like this - https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/384705993167058211/i used 10 strings, 5 groups of two , a keyring , a wooden bead , and the chapstick im making it for to measure . ☆ string all ten strings on your keyring , and do a chinese staircase until you reach the length you want ☆ separate the 10 strings into 5 groups of 2 ☆ make one square knot using one group onto the group next to it , then do this all away around ☆ once that row is done , move 1/2 inch down , and cross each group of string over the next , then make another square knot ☆ repeat this until you have your desired length, then slide your chapstick in . let me know if this makes sense ! if not i can try to post a video tutorial : ) |

Well to make a chapstick holder, you make a thick bracelet about 60-70 strings wide and make it the length of your chapstick. Then you sew the sides and tie a knot at the bottom to secure it. Hope this helps!

The way you make an AirPod case is probably similar but you probably want the bracelet to be about 90-100 strings wide

kinsey b made a chapstick holder a while back, she never made a tutorial because it took so long but I'm sure if you messaged her and gave it some time she might have some intstructions. as for the airpod case, i'm not really sure it would work since you can't really structure bracelets and shape them if that makes sense. I would just make a thick bracelet and hot glue it around to decorate

@alicesitu definetely it could go around to decorate but covering the bottom leaving a hole for a charger is probably impossible

I think I know how to make one, but I would have to experiment it. I’ll make a tutorial for Braceletbook for it, so everyone can see it (if my idea works). You could still charge it as well without taking it off. @bluedog123 @havencfree @ShruthiMan @rubisaa @Marieke123 @wildcat253 @alicesitu @Cirivere ( I tagged all the people in case they wanted to know)

i actually messaged kinsey and she responded quickly, here's her response:"i use pattern #26087, and just kept making it until it was long enough to hold my chapstick, and then i just made it into that cylinder shape and used a needle and thread to see the opening closed, and just tied my strings at the bottom into a big knot" |

i remember her tiktok about it, she also divided all the strings in 4 parts and made 4 loops
