I made a little pillow that straps on to my string holder, or I use my American girl bracelet clipboard. It measures the bracelet for you!

Cool i will try to use clipboards cuz the bracelet wont stay straight in the pin but its easier to carry a pin you pin it on your shirt and done

She's really good. She taught me everything I know about making bracelets today. She even has a playlist just for beginners.

Clipboards are a god send for this. I learned using safety pins and it was awful. I broke so many safety pins and ruined quite a few pairs of jeans and pillowcases

I love using clipboards... safety pins and me, do not get along when making a bracelet. I always end up ruining the bracelet.

Clipboard and bulldog clips. I rarely use the clip on the clipboard itself

Won't tape make the bracelet fuzzy?

I tape a piece of cardboard the same width as my clipboard at the bottom and cut slits in it to hold my strings. It helps a lot when I'm starting a bracelet especially 🙂

I never really have a problem with the string slipping! Good tip to keep in mind though if it ever does happen. Thanks!

I use iLoom a lot. (In case you don't know it's a friendship bracelet making kit. It has a space where you put your iPad and you download their app and the app shows you how to make bracelets.) It works really well, especially if you do the loop at one end technique! It also holds down the strings well. Last time I checked it was about $30 bucks on Amazon. If you don't have the iPad it's still helpful. I hear the app is also coming out on Android and Amazon tablets next year. Lastly, the app has been pretty glitchy recently, but I've found was to make it work! Hope this helped! S

I always use a clipboard, but I put a few pieces of toilet paper rolled up on top of the bracelet where the clipboard clip will hit, so it doesn't make marks and makes it more secure!

use a binder clip and clip it to the side of the clipboard.
