How short do your strings usually get before you decide to insert new string? Alternatively, what is the shortest possible length of string you can knot before it takes over 15 seconds to tie?

I would normally have 4-6 inches of string before I would change it out.

Normally I usually prefer to just end the bracelet unless it's under 5 inches, when the string gets below 4 inches I decide to add a new thread.
