How long should I make my string for pattern #11729 ? How can I figure it out for. Future patterns???

about your arm span if you're making it your size wrist, or smaller. i usually do smaller because it uses less string

I have a ton of friendship bracelet books that say for pretty much all normal patterns use a string 36 inches long (except really wide ones might need more or if you have a really small wrist u might use less). Alphas are about the same but I usually cut my strings a little bit longer (maybe cuz I have a wider wrist, mines about 7 1/2 inches)

I go across my body. So I hold the skein in one hand and the end in the other and make it as long as my hands/arms can go
