What colors to buy for a basic color scheme?

I wanna go buy strings, but i can't really choose what colors i should pick! What is more useful? more soft, pastel colors? or tropical themed bright ones? or i should pick a dark and a light color for every color? IM SO LOOOST! Do you guys buy only the colors you wanna use for a bracelet, or have a basic color scheme and you pick patterns for it? Thanks for everyone who answers! ❤️ |

I normally get a pack of black and white and then a pack of a bunch of different colors in general. It’s better value to get a pack then pick out individual. Walmart and Michaels have good value packs in my opinion

i find that having a lot of black and white, then a gradient of each color is best for me

sadly in my country there is no walmart :c i can only buy strings from small shops, and only one by one, not in packs

So I got tons of embroidery floss from my mom and I like having in some colors multiple shades, and others like one main color. So personally I have tons of shades of purple, but like one or 2 reds.
