How much string should you cut for a bracelet in order to not waste string.

I usually measure from one hand to the shoulder of the other arm. If I see I need much of one string I sometimes even use a wingspan.

about a wingspan if you double your string so that your working threads are half that length!

If your doing a loop then a full wingspan length or if you cut individual strings and do adjustable ends then half of your wingspan works

I do 2.5 feet for most normal bracelets (I’m also only 5’3”) or 5 feet if it’s folded in half. I generally do 9 in. for an alpha with over 75 rows and 4.5 in. for under 50 rows that are keychain sized.

One arm to my chest or longer for big bracelets but if your worried about wasting you can keep the scraps for alphas or rag rug bracelets
